WeekPad legal terms

Last updated: July 2026

This page contains two documents: the End User License Agreement (EULA), which is the agreement between you and WeekPad, and our Terms of Use. They deliberately cover the same ground in the same way — the EULA is the formal agreement, the Terms of Use are the same commitments written out in full. Reading either gives you the complete picture.

WeekPad End User License Agreement

Last updated: July 2026

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("you") and Lucanise ("we", "us", the "Developer") for the WeekPad application and any optional features, including iCloud Sync (together, the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

WeekPad is developed and maintained by a single independent developer, not a company — there is no team and no support desk, and any support, reply, or update is best-effort only.

Section A — WeekPad Terms

A1. The App is a tool, not secure storage

WeekPad is a productivity tool for planning and organizing your weeks. It is NOT a secure storage solution and is NOT designed to be the primary or sole repository for important, sensitive, or irreplaceable data. You must always keep your own safe copies of anything important, elsewhere.

A2. No warranty ("as is")

The App, including iCloud Sync, is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant or guarantee that the App or Sync will be error-free, uninterrupted, available, or that your data will be preserved, synced, downloaded, or recoverable.

A3. No liability

To the maximum extent possible, we accept no responsibility and no liability for anything, including any loss, deletion, corruption, or exposure of your data, whether on your device or in your iCloud, and whether caused by user error, device failure, app or system updates, iCloud issues, network conditions, or any other cause. You use the App entirely at your own risk.

A4. Optional iCloud Sync

Sync is optional, off by default, and offered as a paid auto-renewable subscription. If you enable it, your data is stored in your own Apple iCloud private database, which only you and Apple control. We operate no server and keep no copy; we cannot read, see, reach, control, or recover your synced data. Enabling Sync means your data is also subject to Apple's iCloud terms. Syncing uses network data and counts toward your iCloud storage.

A5. Sync is not a backup; no import; no recovery

Sync keeps your devices matching each other — it is NOT a backup. A deletion or change on one device can propagate to your other devices and to your iCloud. The App provides NO import and NO restore of any kind; we cannot load data back into the App for you. Your own Export is the only recovery that never depends on us, on Apple, or on Sync. Whether data syncs, downloads, or can be recovered depends entirely on factors outside our control, and we do not and cannot guarantee it, in whole or in part.

A6. We cannot intervene

Your synced data lives in your own iCloud, which only you and Apple control. We have no access to it and no way to intervene: we cannot recover, restore, repair, undo, or retrieve anything for you, for any reason. Actions you take on iCloud outside the App — signing out, turning off iCloud for WeekPad, deleting its data, or running out of space — can change how the App behaves or remove your synced data, and we cannot detect, prevent, or reverse them. Keeping your iCloud in working order is your responsibility.

A7. Termination, end of support, withdrawal, and transfer of ownership

We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, without notice and without any obligation or liability to you: end, reduce, or stop providing support for the App or any feature; withdraw the App or any feature from sale or availability; suspend, pause, or permanently discontinue and terminate the App, Sync, or any part or feature of either; and transfer, sell, assign, or otherwise dispose of the App, this Agreement, and/or ownership of the App to any other party. We make no promise that the App, Sync, support, updates, or availability will continue to exist. It is your responsibility to keep your own Exports so you never depend on the App, Sync, or us continuing to exist.

A8. Purchases, subscription, pricing, and payments

WeekPad is free to use and includes one agenda. "Unlimited Agendas" is an optional one-time purchase that lets you create additional agendas on your device. "WeekPad Sync" is an optional auto-renewable subscription that includes unlimited agendas and syncs them through your own iCloud. Current prices, billing period, and renewal terms are always shown in the App at the moment of purchase and on the App Store product page, and are managed in your Apple Account, where you can cancel at any time. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. Agendas you have already created always stay readable and editable — if a subscription lapses, syncing pauses and nothing on your device is removed or locked.

A9. Your content and acceptable use

You own all content you create; the App is licensed to you, not sold. You agree not to store illegal content or reverse engineer the App.

A10. Privacy

We do not require an account with us, and we collect, store, and share no personal data of yours. See the Privacy Policy for details. By continuing to use the App you acknowledge these limitations and accept full responsibility for your data.

A11. Changes to this Agreement

We may update, change, or replace this Agreement at any time, at our sole discretion. Because we keep no account for you and hold no way to contact you, we do not and cannot notify you of changes. The current version is the one published on our website at weekpad.app/terms and on our App Store page. Any copy shown inside the App is provided only for your convenience and may be out of date. It is your responsibility to review the current version. Your continued use of the App after any change means you accept the then-current Agreement.

A12. No account; we cannot contact you

We do not create or maintain any account for you and store no account data or personal identifiers. We have no database of users and no way to identify, contact, notify, or reach you.

A13. Responsibility for use by others

We are not responsible for how the App, your device, your Apple Account, or your iCloud is accessed or used by anyone other than you — including family members, anyone with access to your device or accounts, or anyone you share content with. Keeping your device, your Apple Account, and your iCloud secure is your responsibility.

A14. No affiliation with Apple

We are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of Apple. iCloud and related services are owned and operated by Apple; we simply use them as permitted under Apple's terms. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's terms, and Apple — not us — is responsible for those services.

A15. You accept the nature of the App

WeekPad is a simple planner that keeps what you write on your own device and, if you enable Sync, in your own iCloud. That is its nature, and it carries the risks that come with it — data can be lost, corrupted, or made unreachable by a device failure, a system or app update, an iCloud change, a service interruption, or your own actions. By using the App you accept those risks in full and agree they are yours alone, not ours.

A16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent possible, we are not liable for any damage or loss of any kind arising from or connected to the App, Sync, or your use of either — including loss of data, loss of content or photos, loss of time, lost profits or opportunities, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss — even if we were aware such loss was possible. If any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims combined is limited to the amount you paid for the App and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim arose.

A17. Your responsibility to us

You are responsible for what you store and do in the App. If a claim, demand, or cost is brought against us by anyone else because of your use of the App, the content you keep in it, or your failure to follow this Agreement, you agree to cover us for it.

A18. If part of this Agreement does not apply

If any part of this Agreement is found not to apply, that part is treated as removed and every other part continues in full force. If we do not enforce a part of this Agreement at some point, that is not a waiver — we may still enforce it later.

A19. The whole agreement

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, is the entire agreement between you and us about the App. Nothing else creates any obligation, warranty, or guarantee on our part — including anything said in marketing material, screenshots, App Store descriptions, our website, support replies, or any other communication.

Section B — Apple-Required Minimum Terms

The following terms are required by Apple for apps distributed through the App Store and apply in addition to Section A:

  1. Acknowledgement. This Agreement is concluded between you and the Developer only, and not with Apple. The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
  2. Scope of License. The license granted to you for the App is a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and only as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  3. Maintenance and Support. The Developer is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.
  4. Warranty. The Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
  5. Product Claims. The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual Property Rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
  7. Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Developer Name and Address. Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding the App should be directed to the developer, Lucanise, via https://weekpad.app.
  9. Third-Party Terms of Agreement. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
  10. Third-Party Beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and that, upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

1.1. Overview

WeekPad ("the App") is designed to protect your privacy. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the App. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data, tasks, or schedules.

1.2. Data Collection and Usage

We Do Not Collect Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, Apple IDs, device identifiers (IDFA), IP addresses, or location data.

Apple App Analytics: The App uses Apple's standard App Analytics service (App Store Connect), which may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data if you have opted-in to share analytics with app developers in your device settings.

1.3. Data Storage

Local by Default: All content you create is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any external servers and keep no copy of your data. Any backup or export of your data is your responsibility. We don't have access to it. We can't guarantee that it won't be lost or corrupted.

1.4. Optional iCloud Sync

Sync is optional, off by default, and offered as a paid subscription. If you enable it, your data is stored in your own Apple iCloud private database, which only you and Apple control. We operate no server and hold no copy; we cannot read, see, reach, control, or recover it. Enabling Sync means your data is subject to Apple's iCloud terms. 1.5. No Third-Party Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking technologies.

2. Disclaimers

2.1. "Tool Only" – Not a Storage Solution

WeekPad is a productivity tool, NOT a secure storage solution. It is designed for planning and organizing your weekly tasks. It is NOT designed to be the primary or sole repository for important, sensitive, or irreplaceable data. You should ALWAYS maintain safe copies of critical information elsewhere.

2.2. User Sole Responsibility

The developer is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or cleanup required due to user error, device failure, app updates, iOS updates, iCloud issues, or unforeseen technical issues. We explicitly disclaim any and all liability for lost or corrupted data, for any reason.

2.3. No Warranty ("As Is")

WeekPad, including Sync, is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App or Sync will be error-free, available, or that your data will be preserved, synced, downloaded, or recoverable.

2.4. Sync Is Not a Backup; No Import

Sync keeps your devices matching each other; it is NOT a backup. A deletion or corruption on one device can propagate to your others and to your iCloud. WeekPad provides NO import and NO restore of any kind — we cannot load data back into the App for you. Your own Export is the only recovery that never depends on us, on Apple, or on Sync.

2.5. Recovery Is Not Guaranteed

Whether your data syncs or downloads onto any device depends entirely on factors outside our control — your Apple ID, the state of your iCloud, whether syncing finished, Apple's services, and your own actions. We do not and cannot guarantee that Sync, download, or recovery will succeed, in whole or in part.

2.6. We Cannot Intervene

Your synced data lives in your own iCloud, which only you and Apple control. We have no access to it and no way to intervene: we cannot recover, restore, repair, undo, or retrieve anything for you, ever, for any reason. Actions you take on iCloud outside the App — signing out, turning off iCloud for WeekPad, deleting its data, or running out of space — can change how the App behaves or remove your synced data, and we cannot detect, prevent, or reverse them. Keeping your iCloud in working order is your responsibility.

2.7. Termination, End of Support, Withdrawal, and Transfer of Ownership

We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, without notice and without any obligation or liability to you: end, reduce, or stop providing support for the App or any feature; withdraw the App or any feature from sale or availability; suspend, pause, or permanently discontinue and terminate the App, Sync, or any part or feature of either; and transfer, sell, assign, or otherwise dispose of the App, these terms, and/or ownership of the App to any other party. We make no promise that the App, Sync, support, updates, or availability will continue to exist. It is your responsibility to keep your own Exports so you never depend on the App, Sync, or us continuing to exist.

2.8. Data Liability

You use this App and any Sync feature entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility and no liability for anything, including any loss, deletion, corruption, or exposure of your data, on your device or in your iCloud. By continuing to use the App, you acknowledge these limitations and accept full responsibility for your data.

3. Terms of Use

3.1. Acceptance

By downloading and using WeekPad, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the WeekPad End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your use of the App. The EULA is available on our website at weekpad.app/terms and through the App Store listing. These Terms of Use and the EULA are written to say the same thing.

3.2. Usage Rights

You own all content you create. The App is licensed to you, not sold.

3.3. Prohibited Use

You agree not to store illegal content or reverse engineer the application code.

3.4. Subscription, Pricing and Payments

3.5. Changes to Terms

We may update, change, or replace these terms at any time, at our sole discretion. Because we keep no account for you and hold no way to contact you, we do not and cannot notify you of changes. The current version is the one published on our website at weekpad.app/terms and on our App Store page; the copy shown inside the App is provided only for your convenience and may be out of date. It is your responsibility to review the current version. Your continued use of the App after any change means you accept the then-current terms.

3.6. No Account; We Cannot Contact You

We do not create or maintain any account for you and store no account data or personal identifiers. We have no database of users and no way to identify, contact, notify, or reach you.

3.7. Your Responsibility to Us

You are responsible for what you store and do in the App. If a claim, demand, or cost is brought against us by anyone else because of your use of the App, the content you keep in it, or your failure to follow these terms, you agree to cover us for it.

3.8. If Part of These Terms Does Not Apply

If any part of these terms is found not to apply, that part is treated as removed and every other part continues in full force. If we do not enforce a part of these terms at some point, that is not a waiver — we may still enforce it later.

3.9. The Whole Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy and the WeekPad EULA, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App. Nothing else creates any obligation, warranty, or guarantee on our part — including anything said in marketing material, screenshots, App Store descriptions, our website, support replies, or any other communication.
